ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kim’s refreshingly vibrant palette and contemporary flair inspired the HGTV Dream Home 2007 design team to purchase her original painting, Potted Flowers. This painting that typifies Kim's innovative watercolor technique, now hangs in the Winter Park, Colorado home's upstairs guest bedroom.

Since 2001, this Georgia artist has built an impressive body of work. She first marketed her paintings via in-home art parties, and soon began participating in southeastern art shows and festivals. Today, Kim’s original paintings are featured in retail establishments and fine art galleries in four states, and reproduced commercially by Artaissance, the publishing arm of Larson-Juhl.

A 1984 Brenau Women's College graduate, Kim has focused her professional career in design and marketing. Some 24 years later, she's actively applying her creative energies in a targeted direction as Kim Marks Art & Design. Marketing her original paintings and related merchandise has become a full-time sideline. She enjoys using her marketing skills to further the impact of her fine art among patrons old and new.
